Liverpool have submitted an offer for Bayern Munich star Ryan Gravenberch, and a new report has revealed that they have already been given a response.

How old is Ryan Gravenberch?

Gravenberch is 21 years of age and only arrived at the Allianz Arena from Ajax last summer, but his debut season with Thomas Tuchel’s side didn’t go anywhere near as he would have hoped, having fallen significantly low down in the manager’s pecking order in Germany.

In the Bundesliga, Netherlands’ youth international was handed just three starts during the previous campaign and was forced to come off the bench on 21 occasions, showing exactly how out of favour he is despite still having another four years remaining on his contract, and his potential availability has alerted FSG and Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds have reportedly held advanced talks regarding a swoop for the central midfielder, with Manchester United also being credited with an interest by the same outlet, but it would appear that it’s the former club who are in pole position to secure his services and bring him to the Premier League.

Speaking to CaughtOffside, CBS journalist Ben Jacobs recently delivered an update on the talisman’s future, saying:

“Bayern’s position all summer has been that they don’t want to sell, but the player is open to Liverpool having endured a tough first season in Germany. Let’s see if Bayern’s position changes in the final few days of the window.”

According to Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb (via Sport Witness), Bayern have received an “important offer” from Liverpool for Gravenberch, worth approximately €48m (£41m). However, this bid has been swiftly “rejected” because the Bavarian side “don’t intend to part ways” with their prized asset this summer.

Tuchel is believed to have personally told the player that he will only be used as a substitute this season which means he is “keen to leave”, but regardless, it sounds like it could take a much more sizeable fee to prise him away before September 1st.

Faf du Plessis has declared himself as having a “60-40″ chance of playing the Boxing Day Test against Zimbabwe after picking up a viral infection in the week leading up to the game. Du Plessis had been out of action since late October, when he sustained a back injury against Bangladesh, and took no part in the recently completed domestic T20 competition. Instead, he used the time to undergo surgery on a troublesome shoulder and though he was 80% ready to play last week, his chances have diminished because of illness.”Last week I was 80-20 for playing, probably now 60-40,” du Plessis said on Christmas Eve. “My progress was really good over the last two weeks but I picked up a virus last week which has slowed me down a little bit. Right now, where we stand, trying to get to practice and see how it feels. I practised on Saturday and there was still a bit of pain in the back and when the professionals say there is pain in the disc, there is still a bit of risk.”A final call will be taken on du Plessis’ availability on the day of the Test, and if he is passed fit he is certain he will be ready despite two months on the sidelines. “I have been feeling really good in the nets,” du Plessis said. “I’ve had some time when the guys were playing Ram Slam. USA Cricket, the ICC-approved governing body formed in late 2017 to take over cricket administration after USACA’s expulsion from the ICC midway through the year, has announced the start of membership sign-up process ahead of its first general elections due in mid-2018.”This is another significant step forward in making the new national governing body a reality,” said Patricia Whittaker, former West Indies women’s Test player and a member of the ICC’s Sustainable Foundation advisory group that was a forerunner to USA Cricket’s formation. “We are excited to give the cricketing community the opportunity to engage with USA Cricket through the membership program and are certain that the all inclusive and fair approach we are taking will assist the new governing body in achieving the most impact for all involved in cricket in the United States.”Combine dates and locations

According to the USA Cricket website registration forms, there are two membership categories that interested parties can register under. The first is individual, in which players, coaches or fans can sign up. The second is organisational, which is open to clubs, leagues, academies and schools. Both sets of categories are free to join until July 2018, by when the first set of elections are expected to be held ahead of USA Cricket’s first executive board being installed and represent the country at this year’s ICC annual conference.Both categories include voting rights in the inaugural USA Cricket general election. Under the USACA constitution that was approved in 2008 following their second ICC suspension, voting was limited to USACA member leagues, with the league president controlling his group’s vote. This stipulation turned into a major source of contention over the years and played a factor in 32 out of 47 member leagues, many of which voiced opposition to USACA president Gladstone Dainty, being disenfranchised ahead of the 2012 USACA general election.A subsequent landslide victory for Dainty among the 15 remaining voting leagues spurred most of the 32 disenfranchised leagues to break away and form the American Cricket Federation. When both governing bodies claimed to be the rightful group in charge of representing the majority of stakeholders in the country, the ICC finally intervened, leading to USACA’s eventual suspension in 2015 and expulsion last year. وأثنى آرسنال، عبر موقعه الرسمي، على محمد النني بعد السنوات الثماني الماضية التي قضاها في ملعب “الإمارات”، حيث أكد النادي أن جهوده الرائعة ستعيش طويلًا في الذاكرة.

وقال محمد النني في تصريحات نشرها الموقع الرسمي للنادي: “لقد كان وجودي هنا لفترة طويلة يعني الكثير بالنسبة لي، لقد كانت أفضل ثماني سنوات في حياتي، أحب هذا النادي كثيرًا، وأحب الجماهير، وأحب كل شيء يتعلق بـ آرسنال”.

The west Londoners, despite another summer of lavish transfer spending, find themselves undergoing a really mixed start to the new Premier League season.

Chelsea have chalked up just one victory so far, a 3-0 home win against newly-promoted Luton Town, with Pochettino's side dropping points at home to Liverpool on the opening day.

Meanwhile, defeats against West Ham and Nottingham Forest most recently have highlighted the fact there is still a lot of work to do at the club.

"Very frustrating result and everyone is very disappointed in the changing room right now," explained defender Ben Chilwell after their 1-0 loss to Forest.

"If you look at the stats we dominated the game, had the possession, but the most important stat is the goals. We lost in that department and lost the game, that is the black and white of it and we need to improve."

Chelsea seriously bolstered their squad over the summer transfer window by bringing in Christopher Nkunku, Axel Disasi, Nicolas Jackson, Lesley Ugochukwu, Robert Sanchez, Romeo Lavia, Moises Caicedo and Cole Palmer.

During that time, Kalidou Koulibaly, N'Golo Kante, Edouard Mendy, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Cesar Azpilicueta, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ethan Ampadu and Callum Hudson-Odoi all moved in the opposite direction.

It was quite the transfer overhaul for Pochettino's debut campaign in charge, and it will perhaps take some time for Chelsea's new crop of signings to really gel together.

However, one 2023 arrival who has attracted some criticism is Mudryk; coming after he signed for Chelsea in the January window in a deal worth £88.5 million.

How good is Mykhailo Mudryk?

The Ukraine international is yet to score his first competitive goal for Chelsea and has found game time hard to come by under Pochettino so far.

Mudryk started seven league games for the Blues last term but is yet to be given the nod this season, with reporter Brown sharing why that could be.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, the journalist suggests that Pochettino doesn't trust the winger enough now, and Mudryk will need to battle his way into the Argentine's thinking.

"Mudryk, I think, again, has struggled in the little flashes that we've seen of him so far this season," said Brown.

"I think there are still question marks over whether he suits the Premier League and whether he's going to be able to adapt to it. So, he really needs to knuckle down and start showing what he's got because it's not been a great start to his Chelsea career."

The 22-year-old arrived in England with a stellar reputation, having dazzled for Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League with three goals and two assists over six 2022/2023 appearances.

Mudryk could still come good for Chelsea, as explained by former manager Graham Potter, who called the forward a "quality" one.
